Join us to learn about binational conservation efforts around Saguaro National Park and the Área de Protección de Flora y Fauna Bavispe. A “buen vecino,” or good neighbor, can take many forms, whether you’re a staff member with the National Park Service, a Mexican forest ranger, a homeowner or volunteer near Saguaro National Park, or a rancher next to Sonora’s Bavispe reserve. Come hear a variety of perspectives on conservation efforts that reflect our region’s landscapes and communities. This bilingual event is open to the public, and we hope it inspires more folks to participate in community science and efforts to restore habitat connectivity within the binational Sky Island region. The free event will be in the visitor center theater as well as outdoors. Light refreshments will be provided.
