National Public Lands Day – Madera Canyon!

We are bringing back nature! After two bridges were replaced earlier this summer, there were no plants and lots of potential erosion. Help us continue our work to bring back the natives and pollinators at this phenomenal birding spot with Sky Island Alliance just an hour south of Tucson.

We all need food, water and shelter to survive, right? Help improve those qualities for the native wildlife of this lush area just north of Catalina State Park in this one-day event. This is a joint project with the Genius Loci Foundation and the Arizona Native Plant Society.

We are working with the Coronado National Forest, Borderlands Restoration, and Friends of Madera Canyon to restore ecosystem function at the site. Come out and help stabilize this beautiful canyon (and birding hotspot) just an hour south of Tucson.

This year’s spring break marks our one year anniversary working in Bear Canyon, located in Tucson, Arizona on the Coronado National Forest boundary in the Santa Catalina Mountains.
