Wildlife SpecialistPronouns: He/Him/Él
Miguel worked for several years with Sky Island Alliance as an intern (2019-2020) and fellow (2021) before joining our full-time team in 2022 as a Sonora wildlife specialist. He focuses on data analysis from Sky Island FotoFauna and the Border Wildlife Study. He also supports environmental education events, serves as coordinator of the drawing contest for the Sky Islands festival, and assists in student community service collaborations. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biology.
In his free time he enjoys painting, taking wildlife photographs, and going out to natural areas. His favorite Sky Island is the Sierra del Tigre.
