Tim Buck Two Pond Planting
August 17, 2016, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
FreeBACKGROUND
SIA recently partnered with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Tom Biebighauser of Wetland Restoration and Training LLC to fix the pond at TimBuckTwo Ranch which had developed a bad leak, threatening its ability to provide habitat for endangered Gila topminnows and many other native bird, bat, dragonfly and butterfly species. Now that the pond is all fixed up, we’re going to enhance the surrounding habitat with native plantings!
PROJECT SCHEDULE & LOCATION
- Meet at 7:00 a.m. at our new office: 406 S 4th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701 at the SW corner of 4th Ave and 14th St. To carpool or caravan to the site. There is plenty of parking in our lot off 14th as well as along the streets.
- If you live south of Tucson, meet at 8:00 a.m. in front of the giant cow skull at the Amado exit off of I-19.
- We will work throughout the day with a break for lunch, and be back to the office by 5:00 p.m (or earlier).

Binoculars – this is a fabulous birding spot!
Sturdy footwear (ex. hiking boots) that you don’t mind getting dirty or muddy
Sun Protection (ex. wide-brimmed hat, sunblock, long sleeved shirt and long pants)
SIA will provide all tools and work gloves, though if you have a pair of gloves you like, feel free to bring them.
