Conservation and environmental policies help protect the Sky Islands when thoughtfully implemented and ensure a thriving future for our region’s diversity of life and lands. Sky Island Alliance works with other organizations to track major policy issues in both the U.S. and Mexico with regional and continental significance. We also contribute our wildlife and water data to help inform the development of policies that impact our region, from border infrastructure to surface-water protection. To learn more about some of the issues we’re tracking, check out the following pages.

If you have concerns about an environmental issue in your part of the Sky Islands, you’re welcome to alert our Program Director Emily Burns so we can assess the situation.
