The “Nancy Z” Summer Speaker Series 2015

A community event promoting appreciation for the Sky Island region through science, culture, art and music. The Speaker Series is dedicated to Sky Island Alliance co-founder, Nancy “Z” Zierenberg, who inspired hundreds of activists and worked tirelessly in all of her efforts to promote the earth first. The goal of the speaker series is to inspire the public appreciation of the sky island region, through culture, art, science and research, music, and more.

Friday, July 24, 2015 at 6pm at the ZUZI Theater Company

Biologists Mirna Manteca (Sky Island Alliance) and Sergio Avila (Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum) will speak about the biology and ecology of butterflies and other pollinators, with special emphasis on Monarch butterflies. They will share how you can help these pollinators in your own backyard, and talk about current research and conservation efforts in Arizona and Sonora.

No RSVP required, seats fill first-come, first-served.

Tickets are $10 at the door, proceeds to benefit Sky Island Alliance!
