Yes! You absolutely can. We accept EFTs several ways: you can set up a one time or recurring ACH through our donation page by selecting Direct Debit under the payment information section. We also accept ACHs through Fidelity Charitable via your Donor Advised Fund (DAF), or if you are making a larger donation outside of a DAF we can work with you to set up a direct ACH into our account. Yes! Gifts of stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares are a great way to invest in our work, and it qualifies you for a charitable income-tax deduction without incurring a capital gains tax.

Retirement plan gifts are an easy way to make a planned gift, and you can simply name Sky Island Alliance as a beneficiary on your plan’s beneficiary designation form. Most retirement plans (other than Roth IRAs) are subject to income taxes or estate taxes if left to an individual. However, a charity as a beneficiary does not pay income or estate taxes on the distribution. This way you are assured the full value of your gift will be used by our nonprofit organization.

To name Sky Island Alliance as a beneficiary, you will need to obtain and fill out a designation form with your retirement plan administrator.

In 2022, with the help of a legacy gift from the late Andrew O’Dell, Sky Island Alliance partnered with the Arizona Community Foundation to create the Forever Fund, which is our endowment. The goal of the fund is to support the long-term sustainability of the organization. You can make a gift through our online giving portal and note that you would like it to go into the Forever Fund. Yes! Through our partnership with Arizona Community Foundation, we can accept donated property. We would, however, first need a review by our finance committee. Please reach out to our Executive Director Louise Misztal to begin a conversation.

This depends on the workplace, so the first place to start is to contact your Human Resources representative to find out if your organization offers the opportunity to make a charitable contribution supporting Sky Island Alliance through a payroll deduction.

Yes, you can!

We’ve partnered with Charitable Adult Ride Services (CARS) to process your donation and pick up your vehicle — at no cost to you. All you need is a clear title, and CARS will take care of the rest. Once your vehicle has been sold, you’ll be sent a receipt for your tax records, and the sale proceeds will be donated to Sky Island Alliance, in your name.
