February 2022 — Comment Letter on Border Barrier Remediation Plan
On Feb. 3, 2022, Sky Island Alliance submitted a letter to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding their Border Barrier Remediation Plan for Pima, Santa Cruz, and Cochise counties. The 119 miles of border within the plan’s scope runs through a world-renowned biodiversity hotspot and is home to many imperiled species. This letter contains an overview of feedback on the plan. February 2021 — Stopping the Border Wall: Criteria and Priority Areas for Conservation and Restoration
On Feb. 23, 2021, Sky Island Alliance joined 70 other groups in sending this document to the White House. It calls for the Biden administration to cancel border wall contracts, mitigate construction damage, remove sections of built wall, and restore equal protection under the law along the U.S-Mexico border.
