On Feb. 3, 2022, Sky Island Alliance submitted a letter to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding their Border Barrier Remediation Plan for Pima, Santa Cruz, and Cochise counties. The 119 miles of border within the plan’s scope runs through a world-renowned biodiversity hotspot and is home to many imperiled species. This letter contains an overview of feedback on the plan.
