Communications ManagerRick joined our team in April 2022 after years of volunteering with Sky Island Alliance on weekend camping trips and springs assessments. He manages our emails, actions alerts, website, and social media.
Prior to joining us, he worked as a writer/editor with the Center for Biological Diversity and the University of Arizona’s Office of Sustainability. He holds bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Spanish from Butler University, as well as a master’s in nonfiction writing from Columbia University.
He is motivated to defend the wildlife and plants that call this region home and to pass on to the next generation all the beautiful things we’ve been able to experience here. Some of his most memorable moments in the Sky Islands include camping, hiking, and swimming with friends.
