Patrick Kounovsky

Originally from Creswell, Oregon, Patrick joins us as a Peace Corps Coverdell Fellow while also pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at the University of Arizona with a focus on nonprofit management. He’ll be helping us research and manage data to keep our operations running smoothly and to help us achieve our fieldwork goals. He’ll also be assisting with our volunteer management and development research. He has a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Southern Oregon University. Before joining us, he worked at a behavioral health nonprofit as a career specialist, helping clients pursue work, school, or volunteer opportunities. He also served in the Peace Corps in Eswatini, where he helped with various youth initiatives, taught high school classes, and led after-school programs and other community projects. New to Tucson and the Sonoran Desert, he’s looking forward to learning more about the different plant and wildlife species that make this area unique.
