Wildlife InternMy name is Martha Marilu Peralta Aguilar. I live in Moctezuma, Sonora. And I’m a graduate of the Universidad de la Sierra with a degree in biology. I’m currently a wildlife intern with Sky Island Alliance, where I accompany my friend and colleague Miguel Enríquez on visits to Rancho Tonibabi and Rancho Nuevo. These conservation ranches are located in the Sierra La Madera near Moctezuma. I help check the area’s remote wildlife cameras and then help sort photos and identify species.
What I like most about the Sky Islands are their beautiful landscapes and the great diversity of flora and fauna that can be found in each corner.
