Keren Deyanira Esquer Lemus

Keren EsquerConservation and Restoration Intern

Pronouns: She/Her/Ella

My name is Keren Deyanira Esquer Lemus and I live in Los Hoyos, Sonora. I am currently finishing my degree in Biology at the Universidad de la Sierra. I consider myself a very active, committed, and disciplined person. Last year I had the opportunity to participate with Sky Island Alliance as a volunteer for environmental conservation on some ranches. I have also had the opportunity to work with the “Protectoras de la Sierra” project, whose objective is conservation, in addition to promoting environmental care within the communities surrounding Moctezuma. At the end of March last year, I officially joined SIA as a conservation and restoration intern with the goal of promoting female leadership on the ranches. And I am currently involved in a SIA project called “Buenos Vecinos.” From the moment I was involved in their projects, they not only provided me with resources, but also an invaluable vote of confidence. Their commitment has inspired me to redouble my efforts and to believe that change is possible when we work together. I would therefore like to express my sincere gratitude and reaffirm my enthusiasm for continuing to collaborate on future initiatives.
