Development DirectorBrittney is an Arizona native, growing up in Tucson and migrating north to attend Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff. After living in different states throughout the U.S., the desert called her back home in the summer of 2026, where she eagerly joined the Sky Island Alliance team as development director. She is inspired to advocate for and protect the Sky Island region and its resident wildlife.
Brittney is a seasoned fundraiser with several years in development, plus a handful running her own small business. She has a B.S. in Public Relations and Anthropology from NAU and received her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in July 2026. She has worked in development for several different causes, including social services, domestic animal welfare, and wildlife rehabilitation — where she also became an animal ambassador handler for Bobber, the American kestrel.
She believes you can’t spell fundraising without “fun” and brings that philosophy to everything she does. With enthusiasm, expertise, and a genuine love for connecting people with purpose, she builds meaningful relationships and inspires donors to support causes that matter to them. Sky Island Alliance is one of those causes.
When she’s not at work, you will most likely find Brittney out running, playing Scrabble with her hubby at a local watering hole, or sitting on a patio watching birds and critters.
