Pronouns: He/Him/Él

Ángel has collaborated with Sky Island Alliance at different stages since 2020. He started as an intern and later as a fellow in the Spring Seeker program. Then, in early 2022, he joined as a full-time specialist in spring monitoring and protection in Sonora. From this position, he made a significant contribution to the expansion of the Spring Seeker program in the Sky Islands region of Sonora, strengthening fieldwork and collaboration with ranchers and landowners, in addition to supporting the management of the organization’s Spanish-language communication channels.

Currently, Ángel continues to collaborate periodically as an advisor and fellow, supporting our communication media and Sky Islands conservation efforts, while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Dance at the Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexicali campus. In recent years he has dedicated himself to education and environmental conservation, combining visual arts, dance, and biology, and connecting the community with nature. His favorite Sky Island is the Sierra del Tigre in Sonora, a significant place he first visited during his childhood and fondly remembers every time he returns.
