Mariana Sofia Rodriguez McGoffin

Pronouns: She/Her/Ella

Based in Tucson, Arizona, Sofia writes and teaches about social and environmental justice, and is currently working on a podcast. Her interests broadly revolve around the impacts of domestic violence on families and barriers in access to environmental decision-making spaces. She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but grew up in Monterrey and Cancun, Mexico. Her background includes moving back and forth between cultures and languages. Half her family lives in Mexico, and the other half lives in the United States. This bi-racial and bi-cultural background has given her a distinct perspective on the social and environmental justice issues that unfold on the border.
