SUMMARY:Winter Spring Seeker Surveys
DESCRIPTION:  \nJOIN A GROUP IN THE FIELD FOR A PHYSICALLY-DISTANCED SPRING SURVEY!\nThanks to our amazing community of volunteers and partners\, we visited over 220 springs and other water sources in the Sky Island Region in 2020! With your help we were able to survey springs we’ve been monitoring for years\, visit springs we’d never been able to access\, and even stumble across some springs we didn’t know existed. \nThis winter\, get out with our Spring Seeker Survey and let us know how springs are doing in your favorite Sky Island mountain range. Trips will be volunteer-led\, with a group size limit of 3 people total\, and with everyone driving separately to the trailhead. Having a 4WD vehicle is a plus\, but not required. Hikes range from 2-12 miles total\, with varying degrees of elevation change and amounts of off-trail bushwhacking. \nTo sign up\, email zoe@skyislandalliance.org. If you’ve been out before you can sign up to lead a trip\, and if you’re new that’s great too! Make sure to tell us when you would like to go\, your hiking abilities\, and your vehicle type. We’ll plan each trip based on the abilities of the people signed up.
